KOOK feat. ROXXY BIONE
Since 2002, Dj and producer Kook and brasilian singer Roxxy Bione are now a duo. Without a doubt, they are typical dirty and dancable berlin electro rock´n´roll.
Important to them: No run of the mill concert atmosphere. They prefer people to dance and freak out, not just swaying to the music. Kook feat. Roxxy Bione don´t hide behind a laptop, but submit microphone stands and stage floor to gruelling tests.
Kook and Roxxy first met at a hairdresser in Berlin at the end of 2002, a couple of days later in Kook’s studio and then more frequently on stage. At first they both hung around electroclash but in the course of the last three years, their music has developed more and more towards an electronically produced popsound.
The music´s charm is a result of glamorous pop, rockin´ electro sounds and groovy dance – often crowned with driving singing.
’Kook and Roxxy are two: one man, one woman. Nevertheless, they like each other. And this is how it goes. Kook, not related to Thomas Cook, does not knock the wind out of her sails but in contrary, tailors unbelievably hot sounds as DJ and Producer that fit her like a glove, so much that she has become the one and only for plastic surgeons… When Kook and Roxxy take over a club, forget foot-wagging and stage-staring, instead, plaster falls from the ceiling and the crowd goes whacky, almost like after 40 years of communism. Pop and electro strikes Berlin trash-glamour and directly into your face. In a whole sentence, Kook and Roxxy don’t make tinkling sounds for your memento memory, Kook and Roxxy produce killercuts for eternity.’
